Posted: 2/16/2006

The Epson C88 inkjet printer provides fairly inexpensive, high quality printing...but is slow to do it.

I have an R220 and complained to Epson that it was too slow. They told me to buy a C88.

epson is interesting. my printer stoped working with a message that "parts of my printer had reached the end of their service life" i found this comment facinating when my prevous printer was cheaper and lasted much longer.

I have had 3 epson printers, C64, C66 and the C86. Not one of them lasted more than a month. I complained to Epson and they blamed the ink. I have a can0n 1500 that just doesnt stop. I will never buy another epson

In the last 3-1/2 yrs we've owned 2 Epson printers for home use only. This last one, a C64, lasted only 1-1/2 yrs. The ink is expensive & the printers are not built to last very long. No more Epsons for us!

I had C86 and C88 in a two an half years and I had the same type of problems: slow print speed and most of all the paper alignment was always off each and every time I print a page(s). No more Epsons.

Epson....Lets face it is only interested in selling the high end printers to the high paying pros. Get wise buy a canon printer. I brought a canon low cost printer (6 color) a few years back. People were so impressed with the 11 x 8 1/2 prints I was asked to do many weddings. The amazing sharpness and color satuation said it all.

I have an epson CX4600. It seems I spend all my ink cleaning nozzels. About $80.00 a pop. This will be my last epson.
