Dell E228WFP review

Published on: electronicsme.com

I love the widescreen format and to be honest, I wonder how all these years I have lived without it. Of course, it’s rather humorous to picture the days of green screen computers in wide screen. That being said, it’s nice to know that you don’t have to downgrade to a poor performing widescreen in order to simply have one. Dell’s entry level 22” LCD flat screen monitor, the E228WFP, is a solid performer in the LCD flat screen market.

It has single DVI and VGA inputs and is HDCP compatible. A rarity in this price bracket is the 16:10 aspect ratio it provides. Wide viewing angles of up to 160 degrees provide solid picture quality for not just you, but onlookers as well. With a 5 ms response time and the flat screen 22” standard 1680x1050 resolution, the image quality is great for the price you are paying.

Dell SP2208WFP review

Published on: electronicsme.com

In a world littered with LCD flat screen monitors generally individualized only by their unique stands, the Dell SP2208WFP definitely stands out. The 22” LCD flat screen provides great picture quality and all the features you could use. While standard VGA and DVI connections are available, HDMI is also included. Also, four USB ports, two on the side and two on the bottom are supplied as well as a web cam at the top.

Viewing movies or games are a dream and even for standard business use such as word processing or graphical design you are going to love what you’re staring at. The glossy screen can sometimes pick up unnecessary reflections, however the stand does allow for modest adjustment to prevent this from being an issue.

Planar PL1910M 19 Inch LCD Monitor Review

Published on: bayreviews.com

As you may already know, I use the Viewsonic 2012WB 20.1" Widescreen LCD monitor at home so it would take a lot for another monitor to impress me. You may also know that I have just started a new job and with new territory comes new… "equipment", of course. Well you will see me reviewing a lot of the equipment that I use at work and one of which is this huge 19 inch Planar PL1910M LCD monitor. I have this monitor standing tall on my desktop (as in desktop computer; we'll get to that later). I don't really know how much these cost because it was already in my cube when I joined...

Dell E176FP 17" LCD Display Monitor Review

Published on: bayreviews.com

I had been using the Samsung SyncMaster 763 MB 17" CRT (cathode-ray tube) Monitor since I started working for this company of mine (about three years ago), but they had been using it way before I even knew about the company. After so many years, they finally replaced it with this new Dell E176FP 17” LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) monitor. You cannot image how delighted I was to rid my desk of that bulky old box that they call a monitor. Now I have this new thin and sleek LCD to treat my eyes with. This new Dell is much brighter, sharper, lighter, simpler, and not to mention a lot thinner. I now have more room on my desk for more… umm… important things (yeah that’s right). The regular retail price for this monitor is around two hundred dollars, but we actually purchased it with...

ViewSonic 20.1" LCD Monitor Review

Published on: bayreviews.com

After so many years of using the big, bulky, and heavy CRT (cathode-ray tube) display monitors for my home computers, I finally treated myself with this brand new ViewSonic VA2012WB 20.1” (20” viewable) Widescreen LCD (liquid crystal display) monitor. The retail price for this LCD is about $450 plus tax, but I got is on sale at Costco Wholesale for $350 plus tax. I think I got a good deal, but some people would say that you can get a better deal if you purchase online. I do not like purchasing such big and high priced items online because of the high shipping cost and the risk of damage during shipping. I have had my eye on this monitor for some months now and I finally convinced my wife that I really needed this monitor to save space on my desk...

ViewSonic E70 17" CRT Monitor Review

Published on: bayreviews.com

A year or two ago I used to have a ViewSonic E70 17” monitor that I got from my sisters work when they were getting rid of it. I got it because it was a ViewSonic and at that time I only had a 15” monitor that was getting ready to kick the bucket. I have no idea how much my sisters company paid for this but I can only guess it would have been anywhere from $150 to $250 (maybe even more) back then. I checked the price right now and the cheapest is $120. I had used this monitor for almost a year until I replaced that with one that I bought from craigslist.com for $30; it is a NEC 19” (this NEC is so old that I cannot find it anywhere so I cannot write a review on it) but not as good...
