It may not invent a genre, but at this point as a medium videogames can be about creating something meaningful, an experience that resonates and reflects the world in a more sophisticated way than beating hookers with bats. Grand Theft Auto IV has taken that intrepid leap in the right direction, and as always, everyone will try to follow suit.

It’s nice to see Midway has gone overboard with the trick system, throwing in new features such as act-a-fool combos and super moves. The graphics are very sleek and the gameplay is easy to pick up.

Inside Hotwire 3D takes a blade-full assault in D3’s unique third-person shooter, Dark Sector for the Xbox 360. What looks to be an ordinary boomerang can be turned into a weapon of special power that even Batman would be proud of.

It seems developer Kaos Studios is aiming for an epoch shooter but instead they end up with a remarkable futuristic warfare.

NFL Tour is an excellent pick-up game; it plays excellent but very thin on features.
