When Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) released the 800D flagship speaker to replace the older Nautilus 800 series (introduced in 1998), a ripple must have been felt. Providing a very, very (add another very) good sound quality and a magnificent dynamic range. The 800D is also stylish (at a cost) but this speaker is both elegant and tremendously accurate. If you can afford it, this flagship loudspeaker will not disappoint.

The Boston Acoustics SL80 car audio speakers are two way, plate 4 ohm speakers. Adaptable for 5 X 7 inch (default) and 6 X 8 inch openings, this coaxial speaker offers amazing sound reproduction and intense clarity. Using AMD copolymer woofers with butyl rubber surrounds, the SL80 has an aluminum-based heat sink to draw the heat away from the voice coil which increases the power handling.

So i've had this hi-fi for nearly 16 months so i've decided it needs a review considering its still running like clockwork.

Firstly, i decided to get this hi-fi because it isn't your average tall, bulky type but instead the actual micro-unit is flat & long. Its a nice size at roughly 7.5 cm high, 30cm wide and 21 cm deep. It comes with two oval or circle shaped speakers as you can see in the picture. They go well with the blue-ish colour of the unit as they are a nice modern silver colour. The unit and speakers also come with a remote which is a bit big but has most of the buttons that the unit has on it anyway. This means you can relax on your bed metres away as the remote can work from 23 feet away!
